International Tennis Hall of Fame | 194 Bellevue Ave, Newport | (401) 849-3990
Bring your racket to these indoor and grass courts, but don't miss the museum and Hall of Fame. Learn the legacy of the greats at this international museum recognizing hundreds of inductees. The museum is full of incredible tennis artifacts, exhibits detailing the history of the sport, and the stories of notable players. Learn more about a visit to the International Tennis Hall of Fame in our blog post (https://www.larkhotels.com/tennis-hall-fame-newport/).
The grounds of the Hall of Fame have several grass and indoor tennis courts. Stay and watch a match or rent a court yourself—the courts are available for members and the public to rent by the hour. Lessons and clinics are available too. Visit in mid-July when the International Tennis Hall of Fame hosts the Hall of Fame Open to see the pros play.
If the courts are too busy at the Tennis Hall of Fame (which they often are), there are other public courts available in downtown Newport. Check out Murphy Park, with two outdoor courts, and Rogers High School, with six courts. Both are free and open to the public, so grab your racket and keep up with your play, even on vacation. Tennis players won't want to miss the chance to play on some of the best courts Newport has to offer.
