We’re thrilled to share the news that the Lark nest is expanding with the addition of four unique properties in 2019! Mark your calendars—it's time to start planning your next lark.
Located in Portland's vibrant West End, this intimate luxury hotel has been reinvigorated with a sophisticated color palette and curated collection of art while exuding old-school charm. Nine guest accommodations and common spaces have been furnished with an eye towards both comfort and style, and a private enclosed courtyard serves as a green oasis in the middle of the city.
Located in the heart of Newport’s Historic District (and the city's third Lark), The Cliffside Inn pays homage to its Victorian mansion roots and Beatrice Turner, a noted 20th-century painter who once called the mansion home in the warmer months. An artistic, luxurious design and charming touches are found throughout the hotel and 16 guest rooms, accompanied by stunning coastal views over Newport's famous Cliff Walk.
This summer we'll be making our mark on Block Island, just off Rhode Island’s south coast. Following an extensive renovation of the much-loved Surf Hotel, the property will reopen this summer as part of a new resort experience called Block Island Beach House. With 31 casual guest rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and dining. this will be the place to call home when visiting the island. Located right above Crescent Beach, Block Island Beach House boasts a coastal, laid-back vibe that pays homage to its Surf roots.
Joining the family on Martha’s Vineyard, The Edgartown Inn draws on inspiration from the Vineyard’s farms and gardens, bringing touches of greenery, natural tones, and rustic textures into the hotel design. Just steps away from all that Edgartown has to offer, our 12 intimate and airy guest rooms will provide a cozy, comfortable, and laid-back island escape. For those more social times, the inn’s large porch and bright farmhouse kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy a cool drink or tasty treat.
