Block Island North Light was built on Sandy Point in 1867 and established to mark the entrances to Block Island Sound and Long Island Sound. There are five rooms of exhibits each showcasing a particular piece of maritime history. The lighthouse is a prime location for seal and bird watching, rock collection, and sunset views.

The Mohegan Bluffs are large clay cliffs about 150 feet high, located on the southern shore of Block Island. climb down the steep staircase of over 100 steps and view them from the beach. Visitors usually spend the day here tanning on the beach, swimming in the ocean, walking their dogs, or simply admiring the cliffs.

Unfortunately, the bluffs are not handicap accessible. It's also important to note that the waves are rough and it's recommended that only strong swimmers test the waters.
The Block Island Ferry offer ocean tours of America's first offshore wind farm. Persons get a narrated tour of Block Island's 30 megawatts, 5 turbine wind farm spanning over 600 feet above sea level. Tours are approximately 1 hour long.
