Blind Tiger Guest House

WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE

Blind Tiger Carleton is a one-of a kind guest house tucked into the West End neighborhood in Portland, Maine, one of the country’s most vibrant small cities. With Portland’s arts district, performance venues, and world class dining within walking distance from our doors, Blind Tiger Carleton is designed to make you feel like a true Portlander.

The updated nineteenth century home is a digital-detox space with no on-site screens. Instead, each room at Blind Tiger Carleton is “hosted” by a local tastemaker and comes with a letter from the room's host with real life tips and recommendations—from dining to drinking, shopping, adventures... they’ll share places the average tourist doesn't know about yet.

Blind Tiger Carleton offers an independent stay with self check-in, an invisible service model, and 24/7 text-line support. This makes it feel a bit like house sitting for a stylish friend: cozy, stocked with games and snacks, and with the privacy and flexibility to come and go on your own terms. Each morning of your stay, you’ll receive a breakfast basket delivered to your door—ideal for breakfast in bed or a picnic along the promenade

  • LIGHTHOUSE VISIT

Portland Head Light at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth is the #1 most photographed lighthouse in the US—and just a spectacular place to visit. Get in on the action!

Wander Portland's Arts District and quaint historic Old Port and pop into the incredible galleries, shops, restaurants, breweries, and more.

  • EAT ALL THE FOOD

If you're planning a visit to Portland there's a 99% chance it's for the food / brewery / music scene. We love to provide suggestions, but our friends at Portland Food Map have a great interactive map and loads of recommendations and reviews.
