An absolutely favorite of our staff, Akaoni has the best sushi in town! This no frills eatery is a must while visiting Carmel. 

Another wonderful Italian restaurant, Cantinetta Luca, offers an authentic Italian dining experience inspired by regional recipes. They offer an exceptional wine list and dishes are perfect to share between two, so you can try and myriad of offerings on the menu.

Deemed as the iconic Italian restaurant in Carmel by the Sea for over 30 years, Little Napoli has classic Italian food like pizzas and pasta. Our personal favorite: the butter sage ravioli pasta. 

Are you a fan of the show Big Little Lies on HBO? This eatery and harbor was used as inspiration to recreate the iconic coffee shop where the ladies would meet each morning. But, they also have incredible Italian food right on the water. 

Local fresh cuisine, charming, elegant, and romantic with al fresco ocean view dining. During the day, passersby on Ocean Avenue are lured in by the sight of diners happily engaged in food and conversation on the picturesque flagstone patio. At night, heady aromas and laughter waft innocuously out the famed front door each time it is opened.

Share a wine tasting and charcuterie plate with friends at Talbott Vineyards. Crafted in Monterey County, their wines are small-lot Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Wine down with two different tasting experiences: the Signature Flight or the Legacy Flight. 

Have breakfast or lunch at this cafe with coffee-by-the-sea. This little shop has local art, espresso, French sodas, donuts, and crème brûlée.

You will want to walk away with one of everything from this local bake shop. They have it all, from croissants to freshly-baked pretzels, cookies, and everything in between. They also have coffees and teas for your afternoon pick up. 

Tucked away in one of our Carmel's beautiful and charming alleyways, Carmel Coffee House serves up classics like lattes, iced coffees, teas, and more. 

Known for her time on the Food Network's Cake Wars, Reba is still baking all sorts of sweet treats. As the team there says, "Life is better when it's sweet!" and they would be correct. Stop in to try your favorites like pie, seasonal cakes, muffins, brownies, cookies, and more.

Arguably the most famous Mission in California, Carmel Mission is a beautiful historic site and active Catholic Church, where many locals attend mass.

Did you know that thousands of monarch butterflies fly over the Monterey Penninsula? The Pacific Grove has created a sanctuary for these winged beauties as they rest up for the next leg of their trip. Monarchs are attracted to the sanctuary's eucalyptus groves, where they gather in giant clusters. Thousands of butterflies hang together off the tree to maintain body temperature, to stunning visual effect.

Known for the iconic PGA Golf Tour, Pro-Am, the Pebble Beach Golf Course has been unanimously voted as the number one Course in the Country. Did you also know that it is open to the public? Get ready to set a tee time for a hole in one afternoon out on the green! 

One of the best, but hardest hikes in the area, the Soberanes Point hike in Big Sur is a local favorite for a strenuous hike that has some of the best vistas in the area. Make it to the top, and find the commemorative bench hauled in by friends to honor Charles “Chick” Hudson, a local “bon vivant” who led many hikes to the top.  And just like Chick, reward yourself with a glass of wine, some cheese, or even a full picnic lunch to celebrate getting to the top!
