WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE
Blind Tiger Danforth is a storied guest house in an 1823 Federal-style mansion on the edge of Portland, Maine’s West End. Once a speakeasy during Prohibition, the home now sits on a quiet, residential street, just far enough from the center to feel like its own world. Stay here, and the house becomes part of the trip.
An on-site innkeeper is on hand throughout your stay, offering recommendations and looking after guest needs as they come up. Each room comes with a letter from its host, full of real-life tips and recommendations, from dining to drinking, shopping, adventures. These are the places they’d tell a friend about, not a guidebook.
Blind Tiger Danforth is built for lingering. Expansive common spaces invite guests to gather, with a billiards room, game library, and the Heirloomerie retail shop all just steps from your door.
