Effective February 1, 2024 - For any reservation cancellation (excluding any bookings made on a non-refundable rate), we must receive 7 days notice prior to your confirmed arrival in order to receive your deposit back less a $25 cancellation fee. If any cancellation is made within 7 days of your stay, regardless of the reason, your deposit will be non-refundable (though you are always welcome to send a friend or family member in your place).

During certain times of year, especially around events or weekends, wee will have a minimum night stay requirement. This may cause our availability calendar to show “No Availability.” If you are having any trouble or would like specific details, please call us directly.

Yes! Tradewinds Carmel is proud to offer free high-speed WiFi at all of our properties and you will receive information about logging in at check-in.

Yes! We deliver a basket of guest selected breakfast items to your room door between 8 and 9:30 am every morning. Selections can be changed daily.

Tradewinds Carmel is happy to be a pet-friendly option in Carmel-by-the-Sea – one of the most dog-friendly towns around!
To accommodate our guests that have allergies, we offer pet-free rooms in almost all room categories. If you need to secure a room that is specifically NOT pet friendly, please contact the hotel directly.
If you ARE traveling with your pet(s), leave a note about your pet(s) type, quantity, and size in the Booking Notes section during the online check-out process, or call to make your reservation so we can reserve the perfect, pet-friendly room for your visit. We charge a nightly fee of $50 per dog with a 2-pet maximum per room. We welcome service animals in compliance with federal and state laws.
Please be aware that dogs and cats are the only pets allowed, they must never be left in a guest room alone, and are welcome only on our porches and exterior common areas of the hotel, and only while on leash. While we love our pets, not all of our guests feel the same way. For this reason, dogs and cats are never permitted in interior public spaces.
As a condition of reserving a room at our hotel, you agree to pay a $250.00 fee per night if any pets are found in rooms not designated as pet-friendly, or if your animal causes stains or damage to a pet-friendly guest room.

Our Carmel hotel rates are based on an occupancy of up to two (2) total persons. Additional guests may be accommodated in a few of our rooms (the Double/Double and Queen/Queen rooms, as well as the Poet and Serenity Suites can accommodate a total of 4 guests each) for an additional charge of $50 per person/per night (children and infants do qualify as guests).
