Two-night reservations are required on most weekends, with a three-night minimum required for major holiday weekends and during peak season. This may cause our availability calendar to show “No Availability.” During the week (Sunday through Thursday nights), some rooms may not be available for a one-night stay. Yes! Lark Hotels is delighted to offer free high-speed WiFi at all of our properties, and you will receive information about logging in at check-in.

There is no shortage of activities and things to do in Salem! We put together a guide with our favorite activities and places to eat and shop for your enjoyment (some of which are seasonal).

Our hotel in downtown Salem, MA is located right in the center of town on Salem's well-known pedestrian walkway. As such, there is no vehicle access and no parking available on site. The best parking option is to utilize one of several parking garages within a short walking distance of the hotel. Please note that The Hotel Salem does not validate for parking. Here are some other helpful notes:
- The closest parking garage to the hotel is the Downtown/Museum Place Garage, just down the street from us, located at 1 New Liberty St, Salem, MA 01970. It is a 3 minute walk from the hotel.
- Please note there is a fee to park because it is a city garage, and the hotel does not validate for parking.
- When you exit the garage, you will come down through a shopping mall. Please take the backdoor exit in the mall next to Witch Pix Costume Studio. You will then see the East India Marine Hall across the street.
- Please take a right out the door and that will put you on Essex Street. The Hotel Salem is located further down the street on your left across from the CVS Pharmacy.
- The Church Street lot (15 Federal St, Salem, MA 01970) is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
If you have physical limitations which prevent you from being able to carry your bags to the hotel, please call the hotel at (978) 451-4950 and our guest services staff will be happy to help!
- Are you pet-friendly? Are you pet-friendly? While we welcome Service Animals, unfortunately, pets, including emotional support animals, are not permitted at our hotel. We are happy to recommend nearby kennels for use during your stay.

While The Hotel Salem is happy to welcome well-behaved children, occupancy in most of our rooms is limited to two (2) people of any age, including children and infants. Please note our additional per person fees described below.

All rooms have a queen or king-sized bed and are comfortable for up to two persons. Eighteen (18) of our rooms can accommodate more than two people at the rate of $50 per person per night (please note that children, including infants, count as an extra person). Please call to inquire.

Our property is located right in the center of historic Salem at 209 Essex Street on Salem's well-known pedestrian walkway.

Overall
- Three (3) fully ADA accessible guest rooms - a King Deluxe, King, and Queen - all available to book online or by phone
- Our lobby, check-in and common areas, and onsite restaurant, Counter, are all located on the first floor and entirely wheelchair accessible
- During renovation, our building was equipped with two elevators, which allow full access to The Cellar (our basement level bar and event space), all guest room floors, and our seasonal rooftop bar, The Roof
Parking & Transportation
- While the entrance and our hotel is wheelchair accessible, our Salem hotel is located on a pedestrian mall and does not offer parking
- Limited mobility guests can make arrangements to be met by guest services staff at a designated drop off point close to the hotel - please call ahead to make arrangements
