The Weaver Family Getaway from Philadelphia to Saratoga Springs

The Weaver Family needs a change of scenery that’s fun for parents and their kids. First up: coffee and a half-dozen glazed for the road at Federal Donuts in Philly. Then it’s straight on ‘til pizza and sundaes for lunch at Lola Pizza in the heart of Kingston, and a magical walk to get a prime view of the historic Saugerties Lighthouse. After landing in Saratoga Springs, the whole fam heads out to stretch their legs and explore everything this perfect little city has to offer—including the classic Congress Park Carousel. An early start on the way home leaves time to grab a day pass and scope the trails at Monk Mountain House before closing things out with a hearty Italian feast at Montclair’s Da Pepo.
