Hotel Policies
Deposit
For stays of any length, a deposit of 50% of the total charges is due at the time of booking. Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or Discover. We will send confirmation of your reservation upon receipt of your deposit. Please note that at Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge, Bluebird Dennisport, Bluebird Ocean Point Inn, and Hunter Lodge that a daily resort fee is applied.
Non-refundable rates - For stays of any length, a full deposit (100%) of the total charges is due at the time of booking. Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or Discover. We will send confirmation of your reservation upon receipt of your deposit.
Cancellation
For any reservation cancellation (excluding bookings made on a non-refundable rate), we must receive 72 hours notice prior to your confirmed arrival in order to receive your deposit back less a $25 cancellation fee. If any cancellation is made within 72 hours of your stay, regardless of the reason, your deposit will be non-refundable (though you are always welcome to send a friend or family member in your place).
Any change-of-dates request (including shortening a reservation) must be made 72 hours prior to your confirmed arrival and is subject to availability and minimum stay restrictions. Within 72 hours prior to arrival, deposits are non-refundable and no changes can be made to the reservation. After check-in, a shortened stay will remain charged in full per the original reservation.
Effective March 1, 2024 - Select Lark, Bluebird by Lark and Lark Independent property cancellation policies will differ than the above stated policy. Listed below are differing cancellation policies and their applicable property:

For group room blocks of four rooms or more, please refer to the group contract for the applicable cancellation policy.
Rates
Rates as shown or quoted over the phone are based on per night double occupancy and are subject to the applicable state and/or local lodging tax. Availability and rates for specific dates can be viewed by clicking on the “Book Now” button. Please note that at Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge, Bluebird Dennisport, Bluebird Ocean Point Inn, and Hunter Lodge that a daily resort fee is applied.
Check-in / Check-out Times
- Check-in is between 4:00pm and 7:00pm, but early and late check ins can occasionally be accommodated with advanced notice. Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge's front desk hours extend until 10:00pm.
- Checkout time is 11:00am. If you arrive early before your room is ready, we are happy to hold your luggage while you wait. Departing guests are welcome to linger in our common area and on our grounds.
Check-in Minimum Age
Guests must be 21 years or older to check in at all Bluebird by Lark properties, unless prohibited by applicable laws.
Additional Persons
All rooms with a single Queen or King bed are priced at—and can not exceed—2-person occupancy (children and infants included). Rooms with two (2) Queen or two (2) King beds, or other specialty configurations are priced for 4-person occupancy.
Suites with one bed and a pull-out may be available at some Bluebird properties, which are priced at 2-person occupancy and may accommodate one to two additional persons, subject to a $35 per person, per night rate increase. Children and infants do qualify as guests.

Pets & Service Animals
At Bluebird by Lark, we believe road trips are better with the whole family, including the four-legged ones! For $45 per night, up to two dogs of any size are welcome to join your stay. We’ll provide in-room use of food and water bowls, a paw towel, and a special take-home treat for your pup. Because adventures are meant to be shared.
Dog policies:
- Dogs are the only pets allowed, and they must never be left in a guest room alone.
- While we love our pets, not all of our guests feel the same way. For this reason, dogs are permitted only in the exterior common areas, and they must stay on leash. Dogs are never permitted in interior public spaces.
- As a condition of reserving a room at our hotel, you agree to pay a $250.00 fee if any pets are found in rooms not designated as dog-friendly or if your animal causes stains or damage to a pet-friendly guest room.
Housekeeping
Bluebird by Lark Hotels offer our guests a daily light touch housekeeping service of their room. Full-service housekeeping of your room is always available upon request.
Alcohol Policy
Whether or not we sell alcohol on the premises, guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcohol. As our common spaces are used by all guests, we ask everyone to drink responsibly and be considerate of others around them.
Non-Smoking
All Lark, Bluebird and Lark Independent Hotels are 100% smoke, vape, and flame-free. A $250 cleaning surcharge will be imposed on any room where guests have burned candles, smoked (including e-cigarettes), or vaped in their room or anywhere on property.
Firearm Policy
At our hotels, we prioritize the safety and comfort of our guests and staff. To ensure everyone's well-being, we have a policy regarding firearms on our premises. We understand that guests may have valid reasons for possessing firearms, so our policy aims to balance safety and respect for legal rights. For the safety of all, we do not permit the open carry of firearms on our property, regardless of local laws.
While we respect the rights of guests who are legally allowed to have firearms, we require them to follow specific guidelines:
- Firearms must be securely stored in a locked, hard-sided container provided by the guest while on our property.
- When not in use, firearms should be safely stored in the guest's room or vehicle.
- Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave the hotel.

Guest Responsibility
While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.
