History

The Penny Lane is a reimagination of The Drake Inn, founded in 1967, which just so happens to be the same year that the Beatles released the single, “Penny Lane.”

The Drake Inn was a beloved, traditional “motor inn,” overlooking a canal called Penny Pond, in a quiet Hampton Bays neighborhood that sits on Shinnecock Bay, just 1.9 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.
